April 5th Spring Election – Joel Winnig –
–he may be willing to host a THC Tour or other event, maybe LEAP event
We received a donation through the mail – he mentioned that he had a problem printing it from the website – but he didn’t give enough details and Jay could not reproduce it.
Jay looked around for lighters but he could not find the same site – the only ones he could find were more expensive than he remembered – he will keep looking.
Received suggestion for an Xmas shirt – maybe play with photoshop later.
The criminal justice act has not moved forward yet – Jay suggests writing letters to the editor and other activist activities on behalf of this cause. See the meeting minutes for numbers to call.
Referendums – maybe Poy Sippi or other small town, try for a referendum – just another thing to get people involved.
Jay did another interview with The Cannabis Agenda. He thinks that if anything, his campaign has made people see Joan as more of an ally since he raised awareness of her sponsorship of the Industrial bill and other things of that nature.
Jay thinks we should help out with the Joel Winnig campaign if he is willing to champion the issue.
He also suggested that someone could run for County Supervisor or other offices that would be far easier to win.
We will probably pass on having a holiday event this year, next year maybe.
Things to ponder:
How are we supposed to motivate people to make a change?
Keep trying to raise awareness – not only through things like helping with Joel Winnig’s campaign but also through other methods.
