Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore Photos
Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore hugs the south shore of Lake Superior in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. It’s known for the dramatic multicolored Pictured Rocks cliffs. Unusual sandstone formations like Miners Castle and Chapel Rock define the park’s headlands. Twelvemile Beach has a trail through a nearby white birch forest. Remnants of shipwrecks dot the shoreline around Au Sable Point’s 19th-century lighthouse. ― Google
I took these pictures in June 2018 during the “Yoopers Ride Free Days”. It was SO MUCH FUN! We spent most of the time on the upper deck in the open air, but when it got chilly we went below and sat inside on the benches for a while. I want to go again in 2022!
Many of my photographs are available in higher resolutions for print and online media. If you would like to order a wall sized print, or license a copy of one of my photographs for use on your website or other publication, contact me for pricing!
